Last night together and look how close they’re sleeping! Charlie goes home tomorrow and Sawyer is going to be very sad.

ESBC APRIL “DIRTY DOG” EDITION: Wipe Your Paws
With Spring comes a dirty dog. So we thought that this trick would not only be cute, but practical! Disclaimer: We are very sorry for this post is late!
Videos:
Video 1 - With a clicker, only focused on front paws.
Video 2 - Recently posted, but a good video.. doesn’t necessarily teach the hind paws but she seems to spend sometime clicking when the pup puts all four paws.
Articles:
Article 1 - Good article from Karen Pryor
Tips: Remember to keep training sessions short (no longer than 15 minutes) and fun! This is play for everyone.
As always, if you need help please feel free to ask.
What to Do at the End of the Month:
If you have Tumblr, and are going to upload to your blog. Please use the tag: ESBC . We have been liking and reblogging all the posts using that particular tag and will continue to do so through-out the challenge.
If you don’t have Tumblr, we will turn on Submit on the last day of the month -so that you can post to Emma or us a link/pictures/video of your tricks. If you want you can also leave a comment on Disqus.
Lastly, Nicole and I had a hard time coming up with this months trick. If you have any suggestions of what you’d like to learn please send them to either Nicole or myself so we have ample tricks to learn in the coming months!

Sawyer, Charlie and my mom at our dog beach. Can’t wait for this summer!!
These are the prints available to you for the Help Ed fundraiser.
We have: Ed & Ghibli, Oliver, Loki, Gatsby, Emma, Sawyer, Trinket, Bella, and lastly Simon & Tempe.
Together these Corgi’s (and non Corgi’s) and their parents have kindly donated a print to encourage you to donate to Ed.
Here is a list of what certain dollar amounts get you.
$20 - A print of any of the pups above AND an entry to a raffle to win signed posters by Kazu, and other misc. snowboard goods.
$50 - A print of any of the pups above and an entry to win 1 of 5 brand new Nidecker SNOWBOARDS graciously donated by Curry, Ookii, and Chi-Chan and their parents. You can see Ookii modelling with the snowboards above. (That photo is not available for print)
Now I know that for some people funds are tight and sometimes even 20 dollars is too much to spare. The last thing I want to do is discourage anyone from donating ANY dollar amount. So, any dollar amount donated will be entered to win a Camel Lounge donated by the Cardi & one Pembroke (Simon, Caleb, Tempe and Riley) crew.
Every donation must be proven so you can either take a screen shot of your email confirmation and email it to sawyerthecorgi@gmail.com or just forward the email itself. Make sure that the donation amount is visible. As well if you could make the subject “Help Ed” that would be great! Make sure to specify which print you want.
To donate, please click the link below.
*EDIT* Frogman has just sent me a photo of Otis to be printed. Feel free to choose this if you’d like a print of Otis!

This is a video of Sawyer and a bunch of pups from the frisbee practice in January.
We are doing our very first Disc Trial this weekend. I’m very nervous, but Sawyer is as cool as a corgi.
So this year we’re planning on taking Kuma to some corgi meet ups (for real this time). We didn’t discover meet ups til last year around summer and we just never got a chance to take him because my work schedule was a bit random. I know there’s the San Diego meet up and Ed and Ghibli’s mom takes them to one but I’m not sure where. Does anyone else go to meet ups? And where?
I got so sick of relying on others, so I just eventually arranged my own meet up group. I pretty much to hound people - I went on reddit, here, mycorg.com. Ect ect.. we have about 15 members and only about 4 or 5 of us meet. I think people get nervous/uncomfortable because we don’t know each other.
That being said, I’m so happy I started the group and love meeting up with fellow corgi and corgi parents. I’m looking into get cards made so when I go to dog events (woof stock) I can just hand cards out to any corgi parents i see!
Sawyer likes to rebel, and in turn all the other dogs around her rebel.
Here is Sawyer eating algae, and all the other dogs following her lead. Making me look like a terrible terrible mom.
