Sawyer had her third disc trial this past weekend and placed in both divisions she was entered in! Second place for Mini Toss & Fetch and First Place in Mini Distance! As always, big thanks to High Flying Canines for putting on such a fantastic trial! For full results you can go HERE.
* Full disclosure, Sawyer did not enjoy this photo shoot.. you can see she wanted to sleep & eat her lovely ribbons.

Our group is slowly growing! Some new faces for you.
From left to right: Sawyer, Sheldon (he’s new), Paige (she’s also new and has a corgi/jack brother Dasher who is too big for the indoor small breed off leash) and finally Woofus (who isn’t new but we love him all the same)
missing: Zoé and Marlo

Sawyer, Charlie and my mom at our dog beach. Can’t wait for this summer!!
These are the prints available to you for the Help Ed fundraiser.
We have: Ed & Ghibli, Oliver, Loki, Gatsby, Emma, Sawyer, Trinket, Bella, and lastly Simon & Tempe.
Together these Corgi’s (and non Corgi’s) and their parents have kindly donated a print to encourage you to donate to Ed.
Here is a list of what certain dollar amounts get you.
$20 - A print of any of the pups above AND an entry to a raffle to win signed posters by Kazu, and other misc. snowboard goods.
$50 - A print of any of the pups above and an entry to win 1 of 5 brand new Nidecker SNOWBOARDS graciously donated by Curry, Ookii, and Chi-Chan and their parents. You can see Ookii modelling with the snowboards above. (That photo is not available for print)
Now I know that for some people funds are tight and sometimes even 20 dollars is too much to spare. The last thing I want to do is discourage anyone from donating ANY dollar amount. So, any dollar amount donated will be entered to win a Camel Lounge donated by the Cardi & one Pembroke (Simon, Caleb, Tempe and Riley) crew.
Every donation must be proven so you can either take a screen shot of your email confirmation and email it to sawyerthecorgi@gmail.com or just forward the email itself. Make sure that the donation amount is visible. As well if you could make the subject “Help Ed” that would be great! Make sure to specify which print you want.
To donate, please click the link below.
*EDIT* Frogman has just sent me a photo of Otis to be printed. Feel free to choose this if you’d like a print of Otis!
This is your friendly reminder that we are still taking emails for donation confirmations. So if you want a Corgi print or some raffle tickets to fantastic prizes, and have donated (or will be donating) at any point through-out this fundraiser. Please email your confirmations in.
I will be accepting emails for a week after Megan, Ed and Jiggles hit their goal. So please spread the word!
I had business cards made for my Corgi meet up group to help spread the word should I see another Corgi!
If there are any Corgi’s in the Greater Toronto Area please join our group!!
The Corgi graphic is thanks to Jenny at http://starfishey.tumblr.com/.
Most of you may (or may not) know Sawyer’s internet corgi friend Ed had to have emergency surgery due to a ruptured bladder. This is an extremely expensive fix. And Ed’s corgi momma is calling out for help in anyway possible.
I wanted to come up with a creative way to encourage people to donate, and here is my proposal:
If anyone donates at least 20 dollars, let me know and I will send you a 5x7 print of Sawyer (paw signed as well). Not only that, but Emma and Nicole have also said they would join in as well. So if you’d rather an Emma print, that works too. These’s prints will be Limited Edition, so once they run out they will never be printed again.
I’d also like to put out a call to any other Corgiparents who’d like to donate a print! iPhone photos won’t work, if the photo is from a DSLR the resolution needs to be 300 dpi.
Once we’ve gotten a few other Corgi’s involved I will post the photos that are available. At that point all you have to do is email (sawyerthecorgi@gmail.com) a screen shot of your donation confirmation.
We all wish Ed a very speedy recovery!
This month our February BarkBox arrived late. Sawyer was totally devastated (she actually didn’t know the difference) but I was a little disappointed as it arrived almost a week later than usual.
Lateness aside we are very happy with this box! Some fantastic treats and awesome toys, you really can’t go wrong.
First up we have treats, two boxes of treats from a company based out of Washington call Wet Noses. Not only are these treats free of fillers the flavours are so unique (we got “Dogranola” & Carob & Mint)! I am a big advocate for any thing that isn’t your typical chicken, fish, beef treat so these we’re perfect for us! You can see that I also multitasked by putting the treats in the Monster Ball we got in the box as well!
Next in the treat category we got some dental chews from N-Bone. They seem like a fantastic natural product free of any fillers. Unfortunately they have chicken and I think Sawyer has a chicken allergy, so these will be going to Sawyer’s Uncle Charlie who you may have seen on this corgi blog once or twice.
Secondly we have toys! Our first toy is a Dolphin stuff with a water bottle… wait what? Good thing it’s just a toy, and not real life. Anyways, this toy is from Aussie Naturals, according to the BarkBox description card this company is extremely eco friendly and all their toys are approved by rescue dogs! For me this toy reminds me of the first time Sawyer discovered a water bottle and never wanted to play with the toys I spend millions and millions of dollars on. Maybe not quite that much. Sawyer on the other hand loves her new Dolphin!
The next toy our BarkBox was a Monster Ball from Jolly Pets. I love any toy that can be stuffed with treats. I always recommend them in my training classes! Sawyer was overly excited about this BarkBox and would not let me take my photos! So as soon as I got the Monster Ball photo out of the way I stuffed it with the Wet Noses treats and let her have at it. It kept her occupied for a good half hour!
Lastly we got a $10 coupon from Wag.com - not much to explain about this. Who doesn’t love coupons!
Sawyer and I were both very pleased with the February BarkBox, but I can’t say it took over the first place spot from the January Box.
Just like Emma and Nicole, Sawyer and I have added a link to the BarkBox site on our tumblr. If you’ve been on the fence about getting BarkBox, I highly recommend you join the club. Not only is it a great value, but I truly have fun waiting for it every month. Sawyer does too :)
