Day 2: Working Corgi
There is nothing Sawyer works for more than her frisbee.
Sawyer is coming to work with me tonight and on Friday. It’s her first official day as a training demo dog. Hopefully she doesn’t make me look bad.
Non-Corgi related post….
Sawyer’s bestest buddy Party, the bearded collie is in a contest to be the cover photo for Purina’s facebook page. All you have to do is go HERE and tell them you want Party (Option “D”) to be the cover photo! You can even tell them Sawyer the Corgi sent you :)
Sawyer says “Thank you”
Toronto (GTA) Corgi Meet Up Group, beach meet up.
Okay, lets see if I can do this.
From left to right;
Thistle, Liza, Ein, Woofus, Lola, Toffee, Sawyer, Newton, Sheldon, Sammy, Jedi (best name), Scooby and Spike!
Didn’t make the photo (Zoè, Cricket the Vallhund, and Eli the Cardigan who just happened to be at the beach!)
It took a while, but here are photos of Sawyer’s first (real) experience dock diving! We’re going again on Saturday, so here’s hoping she’s a little more confident this time and will jump off the actual dock and not just the ramp!
All photos by Sue.
This post is from the woofs and whines of Sawyer, translated and transcribed by Sue:
so my mom went on vacation and sent me to stay with Sue for my own little vacation. I know Sue and I’m very comfortable with her and her FOUR dogs (can you believe not ONE of them is a Corgi?!?!) They are all lots of fun and I’m getting to do fun things like play disc, I’m learning basic agility stuff plus some tricks and working on my “core”???? I dunno she makes me stand on this giant red ball that looks like a peanut and I turn around on it, sit, stand and so on. It’s fun and I get treats for doing it.
This is a picture of me with Party, Chester (Sue’s parents’ dog) and Traffic. Jarvis and Utah are on the deck ‘sunning themselves’ but these shaggy dogs and I just had a good run around the yard.
My mom says I don’t like other girl dogs but Utah is a girl and I like her. She is a big Rhodesian Ridgeback but she lies on the floor so we can play on the same level.
I got to go to Sue’s parents’ house with her and Party so I got to see Chester again. He only has THREE legs! He was born with a defective leg that he wasn’t able to use so it was amputated. My legs are short and he only has three but we were really fast chasing each other around the yard! Then we had a snuggle and Chester shared his bed and toys with me. It was lots of fun.
Mom when you read this don’t cry, I’m having lots of fun and I’m really tired from all the fun….see….
